Even though they haven’t separated, Elizabeth certainly is not willing to forget what Proctor has done in the past. Miller is suggesting that people don’t tend to forget or forgive others so easily when they cheated with them. Miller says that it’s hard to trust that they won’t do it again. Yahoo answers states that, Proctor is being accused of witchcraft even though he 's been against it since the beginning of the trails. We see that he soon breaks and starts spitting out nonsense to Danforth and the court. During the whole witch trail Proctor has been trying to get others to tell the truth, but he has avoided telling the truth himself. Finally when Proctor tells the truth to everyone in the court, no one believes him at all. This just made Proctor even more insane because he finally realized the fate that was coming to him. Miller suggests that there are certain people just can’t admit that they are wrong. They insist that the other person’s justification is wrong and that theirs is right. These types of people do this because they feel as if they are right and that everything they do is correct and perfect. A perfect example of this would be a cop because they think that they are always right and some may think that they are above the law. Cops feel that they know every single law but, sometimes regular citizens may know more than a regular cop. This is true in some cases where the cop was wrong for pulling a citizen aside.
