There are so many couples in this world who have experienced their differences, and couldn’t find a way to forgive each other. John and Elizabeth Proctor is a married couple from Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. John and Elizabeth had been fighting about him staying out, Mary had come in and said that Elizabeth was accused, and Elizabeth had known it was coming because of her hatred towards Abigail Williams. John tried to argue; but Elizabeth stepped up by saying, “She wants me dead. I knew all week it would come to this!” John begins to be highly upset because he thinks that isn’t the way things are coming to, when in reality that is what it’s coming to. John committed adultery, and Abigail wants to take Elizabeth’s place as John’s wife. They’re …show more content…
I don’t really believe that he wouldn’t do it again. I understood at the time if you were to commit adultery, then you would be a step away from losing your life. It was a sin against the commandments, and not the right situation to get yourself into. John honestly sees hope in things working out between him and Elizabeth, but in her mind it’s all confusing. She gets upset she doesn 't want him around Abigail, and he gets angered whenever Elizabeth says to break it. ”Then why do you anger with me when I bid you break it?” John then tries to say he is an honest man. “Because it speaks deceit , and I am honest! But I’ll plead no more! I see now your spirit twists around the single error of my life, and I will never tear it free” He believes that she is wrapped around the whole fact that he has committed a crime, and committed a sin. She has every right to be wrapped around the fact. John decided to sleep with Abigail and he just thinks it’s okay, and that Elizabeth would forgive him. John just believes that if he can continue to beg for forgiveness then she’ll by it and forgive him for it …show more content…
I have a friend who is like “the love of my life”. My life just revolves around him. His name is Ty. We’ve been friends for 5 years, and never really talked to each other until 8th Grade.
