His threats to Mary Warren was not an act of good it was an act of evil, but he was aiming for good results. Proctor goes to the court with Mary Warren to save Elizabeth 's life and the lives of the others that were accused. Elizabeth turns out to be pregnant so she will live mother year, but John doesn 't stop there. John is accused of trying to overthrow the court because he wanted the charges of the others to be dropped. Proctor tells the court “These are my friends. Their wives are also accused.
