She is the one who proceeded with all the lying after being denied my John Proctor. Abigail blamed people of one of the biggest sins anyone in town could do. She contributed in the blaming of innocent people and go them killed. She first of blamed Tituba, Reverend Parris’s slave, of making the girl dance when in reality, they all were there asking for their own needs. The girls took it as an opportunity to get rid of those who they didn’t like. Abigail got all the girls to lie with her and that shows how clever she is on making people agree with her. “Now look you. All of you. We danced. And Tituba conjured Ruth Putnam’s dead sister..” (Act I, p. 1244). The girls kept up with Abigail who was their leader in a way. She did all she could so she wouldn’t get caught and in trouble. She has nothing to defend her wrong doings. Abigail could of continued her teenage life like the rest of the teenage girls in the town. She could of not involved herself with a family and could have avoided becoming a homewrecker. Abigail started the whole blaming of people which sequenced in the other girls blaming innocent people. “I saw Sarah Good with the Devil! I saw Goody Osburn with the Devil! I saw Bridget Bishop with the Devil!” (Act I, p. 1262). The town did nothing to Abigail to form her into the lunatic she is. The town and environment Abigail was raised in was driven by the bible, church, and God. Abigail should 've as well been driven by the good in the town, but she found the ounce of evil in the very corner and spread it out onto the entire townspeople. Abigail is egotistical in the sense of being self-centered and selfish. She didn 't care about the innocent women she blamed; she only cared about taking the blame off of herself while making herself an innocent
