The Crucible Boston Diary Entry

I opened my eyes and realized that a new day had dawned upon us. I had just woken up from somewhat of a sleepless night. It was the twenty eighth day of the month of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five. The second continental congress was convening in Philadelphia days from now and I was asked to represent Massachusetts again. Massachusetts, specifically Boston, had seen a lot of pain these last several months. British ships have been docked at the port and redcoats have been arriving by the thousands. Although my little farm was in the outskirts of the city, I was still close enough to see and hear the atrocities that have been taking place by the hand of King George and his royal troops. Today was the day that I would leave my family and my city and head to Philadelphia.
