In act three, Abigail Williams is accused of lying by Mary Warren. When accused, Abigail williams starts to go Ballistic and pretends to see Mary Warren's spirit attack her in court. When Abigail falsely accuses Marry, she gives in and confesses to Witchcraft because she wanted to save her life. This has an important relation to my thesis because it explains that Abigail Williams obviously lied to the court with absolutely no remorse. she also knows that accusing Mary Warren might get her killed yet she does it anyway. Abigail threatens the other girls when she says,”I will come to you in the black of some terrible night and I will bring a pointy reckoning that will shudder you. and you know i can do it.” She also said,”I have seen some reddish work done at night and i can make you wish you have never seen the sun go down”(Miller I). This is important because it shows that she leads the group of girls that accuse innocent people leading them to die. These quotes more than less prove that Abigail williams is to blame for the deaths in Salem Massachusetts in
