Arthur Miller’s The Crucible is a very amazing play to read. In the play a young girl named Abigail had an affair with a married man named John Proctor. Abigail was so obsessed with him she wanted to kill Elizabeth Proctor John Proctors wife. She wanted to ruin their relationship. Abigail also began telling lies. Abigail Williams acts the way she did because of what happened in her past. Abigail Williams is a 17 year old girl that was an orphan and she wanted everything to go her way. She lived with her uncle Reverend Parris at the time of Salem witch trials. Abigail’s childhood might be why she acts the way she does. She tell the girls that she saw her parents get murdered.(Miller 892) ’’I saw Indians smash my dear parents’ head on the pillow
