In this kind of generation, I can’t tell you enough how people want some type of weapon and start bashing on zombies. They have no type of regard that if dead ever did start walking this earth, they’re in no condition to actually combat it. With the new Millennia passing us up with new movies and video games portraying different types of walking dead, the common zombie was transformed. No longer did we have the casual skeleton or corpse being controlled by wizards or the apocalypse reigning from the heavens, they’re definitely more to that now. The Animated Dead, class 4 with a touch of pathogen that everyone affected is what we’re specifically talking about. “When the living dead triumph, the world degenerates into utter chaos” (Brooks, 154). …show more content…
Marksmanship with the Crossbow is the outmost importance due to the zombie’s nature. The only way to completely kill a zombie is dismembering the brain, by either completely destroying it or severing the connection to the spine. Referencing the more famous TV show in America right now which has zombies in it, Daryl Dixon, a character who strictly uses the Crossbow in The Walking Dead, he personally uses the crossbow at his own discretion. It’s his main squeeze and babies it rightly so, because he uses it for both long and close range kills. Perfect for the zombie apocalypse, because honestly did you really train before this? The crossbow is a total convenience to us liberal American couch potatoes because most of us don’t even own a gun, let alone know how to shoot one. “The string can be drawn with two arms, meaning that even the biggest weakling can load it.”(O’Bryan, 94). It literally takes no training to just pick up a crossbow and be good at it. So anyone with a small stature, which includes a child, can be taught quickly. The handy crossbow comes with a premium interchangeable red dot site by default which can help shoot any zombie dumb enough to come between your cross hairs, …show more content…

Rethink what the crossbow was used for previously, mainly hunters this modern era use this type of weapon now and if you think back in history it was famous for taking out targets at a distance with extreme prejudice. The crossbow comes in many forms, as small as the length of your forearm, to the length of your half your body. Pick and choose which crossbow will be the type you need when the time permits. Take time, hang back, and only shoot when you think it’ll be the most applicable for your situation. This is your life survivalists, take time in choosing your weapon to combat your dead friends and relatives. Deaner went on to say that on top of the type of weapon you’re trying to get shooting accurately, that we have to consider what the intended use of the weapon will be. Wendell stated that “Along with the action type the next question should be what is this rifle intended to do? A heavy-barreled varmint rig with a powerful scope should generally shoot anywhere from an inch down. A big-bore double intended to shoot elephants at close range is a viable rifle if both barrels will overlap at 4, 5, or even 6”. Elephants and Cape Buffalo have a huge kill zone compared to a Prairie Dog and are shot at much closer range.…
