Cross Symbolism Of Hope: The Cross Symbol Of Hope

THE CROSS SYMBOL OF HOPE

The dictionary defines hope as “to entertain a wish for something with some

expectation.” As believers, we have an expectation that God is faithful and have forgiven

us of all our sins because of what Jesus did on the Cross. We have hope in Jesus Christ

for being our savior and deliverer. He came to save the world and He is coming back

again, this is our hope.

Jesus is our true hope, be encouraged that no matter what you are going through, you

can have hope in the God of rescue. The Bible said “This is a trustworthy saying that

deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope

in the living God, who is the savior of all people, and especially to those

The Cross Symbol of Hope

The Hope that came through the cross of Jesus brings peace in the time of trouble. It

brings joy in time of mourning and it brings strength in times of weakness. The Apostle

Paul wrote “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that

you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 (NKJV)

The Lord Jesus loved us and gave up His life as sacrifice for the sins of the world. Our

hope for salvation came as a result of Jesus dying a horrible death on a cross that he did

not deserve. He was whipped and wounded for our hope of healing.

The bible said “But He was wounded for our transgression. He was bruised for our

iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are

healed.” Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) The prophet Isaiah in reality is declaring that that Jesus

Scripture does teach that believers will inherit or possess God’s promises at some

time in the future (Romans 8:24-25). Paul in Colossians 1:5 placed a much needed

emphasis on the present aspect of hope. The hope Paul preached about to the Colossians

is the same hope that we preached today. It is the hope made possible by Jesus dying on

the cross for the sins of the world and it is available to us today.

It is bold to claim that the Cross of Christ is our hope. It is even bolder to believe and

live the Cross as our only hope. Outside of the cross of Jesus Christ, there is no hope in

this world. With the cross and the resurrection at the core of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

remains the only hope for humanity. God loves us so much that he provides us with the

ways and means out of our perplexity. The bible said that “we are perplexed but not in

despair” 2Cor.4:8. This is to say that we might be at a lost, a little confused but we

The first message I ever gave was here a couple of years ago, and it was also on Romans. And in that message, I explained what it meant when certain words are used to begin a passage. Romans 8:28 begins with the word “AND”. When a passage starts with the word “AND”, what it means is, that it’s a connection. It’s a connection between what he has been saying and what he's about to say.…

    2. In the early 1600s, William Bradford, a Puritan pilgrim from England, wrote a journal [Sovereignty and the], recording all his experiences regarding his pilgrimage. When this text was written, the Church of England had started to persecute all those who did not follow their religion, which included the Puritans, who had to move to Leiden, Holland. After a few years, a war broke out in that area, so the Pilgrims were forced to move somewhere else, in which they chose the present-day East Coast of North America. In the quote shown, William Bradford gratefully comments on how the pilgrims survived obstacles through their journey to the New World, in order to provide his religious insight on how God helped them out in times of need.…

Though many believers will negate the important effect that their worldviews have on their lives, their worldviews function as a critical pivotal point by which they understand and relate with the rest of the world and by which they motivate themselves. Since humans unconsciously rely on past experience and knowledge to prompt their next move, a worldview provides a lens of understanding through which past perceptions reveal how to understand the present reality. However, many people like to bury their heads in the sand, so to speak, when it comes to acknowledging their worldview’s impact or changing a fault in their worldview. Unfortunately, these people are like someone who refuses to wear corrective lenses, and whose gaze is therefore obscured…

“Christology for the New Millennium” First, “Christology is the theological study devoted to answering two main questions: Who is Jesus? (the question of his identify) also What is the nature and significance of what Jesus accomplished in the incarnation? (the question of his work). Now, the meaning of Millennium refers to the thousand-year reign, to anticipate that the new millennium will occur at some future time (Grenz 25, 79). With the meaning of both words in mind, Christology for the New Millennium seems to practice Christ in everyday life which be covered later in this paper.…

After reading The 1965 PROPHECY I have noticed a lot of key points within the prophecy given by Stanley Frodsham that pertains to the current condition of the local church of today and I would like to explain both the causes that brought deception into the church and the cure to help open the eyes of the body of Christ to see the truth once again. There 's, so many types of deception in the church today, just to name a few would be the love of money, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Most believers are serving and following Jesus, all for the wrong reasons, many only want Him for power, material blessings and being noticed in packed worldwide ministries or crusades on TV, online and other ways of media.
