Character traits are extremely important to how the reader feels about the characters. Character traits can also cause conflicts. For example, the Crooked Man’s greed caused the conflict of the whole novel because he brought David into his world so that he could get to and kill Georgie. The Crooked Man wanted for eternal life and killing Georgie was a step towards it. Also, character traits can help solve problems.
