Domestic violence isn’t just hitting, fighting or having an argument; it is a violent confrontation between family or household members involving physical harm, sexual assault, or fear of physical harm. Household members includes: spouses, dating relationship, adults related by blood or marriage and between parents and child. It refers to a situation when two people in a close relation cannot peacefully live together and have fights. Domestic violence is a serious critical issue that happens every day and everywhere around the world between families and household members. Some learned ways to cope with it all, from what I have learned from my readings they stop believing that someday everything will stop and they will be free from their abuser, so they just decide to accept it all and stop caring about whatever might happen to them. Most start wishing that they should just die and stop the suffering there are taking, that death is their only out. It is extremely important to recognize that domestic violence requires the same attention and should be treated as at the same level of different kind of crimes with the same seriousness. Victims are left with scars in their lives which require healing before they can move on and that may take years. Many people in society blame the victims for everything that happens to them, for not leaving their partners without even thinking that maybe it’s not as easy as they think to leave an abuser. Some have very low self-esteem to believe that they don’t deserve to be treated like that or try to find help. Women that are victims become really fragile because they are hurt both emotionally and physically. I too once thought that if a man start abusing his children or wife they should do whatever is possible for them to get out of the house and start a new life, but it’s a not
