The Credential Assembly Service (CAS) of the LSAC provides a means of consolidating and standardizing undergraduate academic records for simplifying the process of law school admissions. An obligatory service for all ABA-approved colleges of law regarding jurist doctor applicants, CAS requires first-time registrants for the LSAT pay a fee for its use. Once complete, an applicant’s undergraduate coursework eventually aggregates and bundled along with all submitted documents to generate a commensurate report sent to each school applied.
Following the receipt of completed applications, institutions request a CAS law school report from the LSAC accordingly. Generally speaking, those reports remain accessible up to five years after registration.
