The Creation Story In Genesis Is True

As a Christian I believe that the Bible is inerrant. I also believe that the creation story in Genesis is true. I furthermore believe that God formed the world, its life forms, and the rest of the universe in one continual act of creation. The evolutionary system has been entrenched for so long that many people are trying to accept the Bible as infallible. People have also deemed it expedient to compromise on this issue. Due to all these different viewpoints from people and scientists, evolution is being called, "God's method of creation". Scientists and people say that in Genesis it shows a record of the six days of creation, and it has been / is being reinterpreted in terms of the evolutionary ages of historical geology. I believe that

The dictionary states that evolution is the process of developing growth. In the bible it is thought that god created everything we see today, from the land we walk on to the animals we interact with. Science claims that every living creature was made of an organism that changed over a period of time. To the current day some people continue to believe that the bible proves how we were created. Others, including myself feel that science evolved us from Apes to humans.…

The literary form and genre of the book of Genesis is prose: biblical and historical narrative. Biblical narratives in Genesis show that “God is active in His world” and these narratives typically “chose certain events to reveal God.” For instance, this element is apparent when the Angel of the Lord speaks to Hagar, granting her the promise of descendants (Gen 16:10). In the same manner, this element is reinforced in subsequent chapters (Gen 17:19; 18:10). In describing this book, it is significant to note that most of the characters in the narrative are flawed.…

Evolutionary Creationism is a belief that God created the universe and all life including our surroundings through evolution. We have an old Earth that is 4.6 billion years old. When God was creating the Earth, the seven days weren't made up of our twenty-four hour days. The time he spent was consisted of what we know now as years. This took up a lot of time as well as the many years in between each event in the Bible.…

The idea of evolution was once taboo for its new ideas at the time, it was seen as wrong because it challenged ideas already established about the world, especially how life came to be. Evolution is a relatively new idea discovered by Charles Darwin. This discovery came to be when Darwin was traveling along the Galapagos islands where he studied finches and discovered that these finches had all originated from one species of finch and eventually became differentiated leading the species to split, based on their environment. However evolution doesn’t just occur, it takes centuries or even millennia to take place and it isn’t the species that adapt to the environment, the environment selects those who survive. This means that only species with favored characteristics for that environment would be allowed to survive and produce offspring while those who do not have these favored characteristics would become extinct, dividing these species into more groups.…

In Genesis, it teaches the way the earth was created, where in science, scientist study for the truth with evidence and experiments that can be tested and proven, however what is taught in the early teachings of Genesis cannot be proven, it is meant for people to believe and trust in the word of the Lord. Theories of evolution help answer the questions people have on the world and how it was created. There is talk about evolution everyday and there are many different theories on it including whether it is the complete truth or not. Pope Pius XII is a catholic man that addressed the issue of evolution in a 1950 in a document that…

When, in the course of human events, people debate a variety of topics, but some ideas become foggier rather than clear when the information is debated. The scientific theory that is Darwinism is often debated against the creation account in Genesis, or the faith-based theory. Darwin’s theory of evolution juxtaposed against the Genesis creation account allows for one to believe fully in only one of these creation accounts when discussing the creation of man, despite having other beliefs on various ideas. Darwin’s Theory of Evolution provides scientific evidence to suggest that humans came from an evolution of different species throughout the course of time.…

It has been many years that Evolutionists and Creationists have been arguing over who or what created life. Creationists may argue that a Supreme Being, God, created life on Earth, but with evidence uprising that evolution might happened, it tests an Creationist’s faith. While when an Evolutionist proves their argument with facts and are debating with a Creationist about evolution, it tests an Evolutionist’s patience. In the past, science and religion corresponded with each other until Darwin discovered natural selection, that’s when the two topics conflicted each other. One might think that Darwin’s book, The Origin of Species, and the first chapter of the Bible, Genesis, have the same meaning, because both books talk about the start of the…

    Inspiration And Inerrancy

The inspiration of the bible is proven more and also works hand in hand with inerrancy of the scripture. My definition of inerrancy is without error, truth, fact and not fiction, something you can believe. We read in Scripture that truth is an attribute of God (Jeremiah 10:10; John 1:14; 14:6; 17:3), and that God speaks truthfully - that is, He does not lie (Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Titus 1:2; Romans 3:3-4). So as I review the four arguments for inerrancy, Biblical inerrancy is the strongest of the four…

Although some still believe in the creationist theory the majority now support the idea of evolution as it has more scientific evidence to support the theory. This shows religious beliefs can have an influence in theories and that support for them is subjective to the person. Religion does not need evidence as instead they faith and beliefs taught from others in the church such as priests, vicars and scriptures. Before the theory of evolution was accepted is was believed as blasphemy to talk out against God. Even if others believed in the evolution theory they did not have the right to speak freely about it as talking against God could lead to your execution, so these religious beliefs slowed the progress in the…

Sarah Di Lello Mr. Jordan Bible 12B April 3, 2018 Creation vs Evolution The debate on creation versus evolution is one that will never end and never be won as long as we exist. The best we can do is discuss, not to win the argument, but to win over people. Our goal as Christians is to be stewards of Christ, being His vessels to spread His Word to change souls, not to win arguments and lose the people He loves. However, there are many pieces of evidence that solidify the reliability and authority of the Bible.…

Evolution is an issue that has been highly debated ever since the eighteen hundreds when the theory of evolution was proposed by Jean-Baptiste Lamarck and then elaborated upon by Charles Darwin in his book Darwin on the Origin of Species. Darwin used a variety of research to elaborate on the theory of Evolution and to provide evidence for the theory. Although some disagree, the theory is true, and there are many types of evidence to support the theory such as Fossils, Similar embryos, and similar living organisms. Scientists use fossils to help determine Geological change, but they are also used to determine how an organism began and how it has grown since it began.…

    Inerrancy Doctrine

Unlike scientific theories, which usually states that the world came into existence randomly, the Bible gives the reader an illustration of how the world came to be. The Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen. 1.1). Christians do not believe the world came into being by accident, but by a creator with a plan and purpose. Inerrancy is the word that is sometimes used by Christians to describe their belief system concerning the Bible; Millard J. Erickson, who wrote the book Introducing Christian Doctrine, best defines the doctrine of inerrancy by stating, “The inerrancy of scripture is the doctrine that the Bible is fully truthful in all of its teachings” (60). When Christians say they believe the inerrancy of the Bible, they believe in their doctrine because it best explains the creation of the…

The term creation originated at the beginning of the world. Evolution, on the other hand, originated in the early seventeenth century. If humans existed millenniums before the seventeenth century, how is it possible for them to have evolved from monkeys, if it did not exist? Some might argue that scientists have went back to explain the evolution process, but there was no use. If there are documents (The Bible) that were created before the term evolution originated, saying humans were CREATED, why make the attempt to revise history.…

The argument started in 1859 when Charles Darwin published a book, named The Origin of Species. This book gave birth to the idea of Evolution. Evolution is defined by Webster as “a theory that the difference between modern plants and animals are because of changes that happened by a natural process over a very long time” (“Evolution”). Before Darwin had published his book most people believed in Creationism. Webster Dictionary defines Creationism as “the belief that God created all things out of nothing as described in the Bible” (“Creationism”).…
