The Inca Creation: The Creation Of The World

Decent Essays
Many, many years ago there was a time when there were no humans roaming the earth until the creation of people came along with different people with different creations tried to make people, but they usually failed. With only people on the earth, it might get a little lonely being the only kind of living thing around. Next thing they did was the creatures came up with an idea to make birds, panther, bears, cows sheep and many other kinds of animals. This helped the creators have someone supervise them while they create. With all of this, there could not be anything without the planet earth. Many of creators such as, Pachacamac, Nuwa, Pangu, Yin, and Yang and lots of others had created our land, mountains, valleys, rivers, and oceans and …show more content…
Starting with the Inca Creation, Pachacamac was part of the whole sky, including the sun, moon stars, and the planets and were ruled by the heavens and the earth. The sun and the moon both bore a son and daughter. The Chinese Creation has created a lot of things for the earth. Chinese had this egg and after so long it finally burst open and out came Pangu. Yin and Yang were surprised, and the Pangu got all the way out of his shell and the earth to begin shaping. Pangu for 18,000 years grew ten feet a day until the sky reached 30,000 miles above ground, and he stopped and began to hammer out the mountains. Pangu fill the valley’s with water to create great oceans. Pangu made the rivers with his fingers and made fields by stamping down the earth. The stars appeared by raw light tossed into the sky by Pangu. His skull is what formed the top of the sky, Pangu’s hair made the flowers. We got the four directions from using Pangu’s arms and legs. His blood became rivers, and one eye became the moon and the other became the sun. Now is the Mayan Creation come together with the two gods which are Tepeu and Gucumatz.Tepeu and Gucumatz started all of this while the world was dark and these two glittered with brilliant blue and green feathers. Whatever these two thoughts is what appeared instantly on the land, such as mountains, valleys, pine trees, water, and sky, and the earth was formed. These guys needed someone to watch …show more content…
This is where the animals are made after the humans were already made on earth. Humans had nobody around to talk to or anything, so they made some new friends. The two main creation’s that are involved in this are the Inuit and the Mayan. The Inuit includes Raven which could turn into either a bird or a man, and he could change by pulling his beak above his head. Raven began to start working with clay to form two fat mountain sheep. For Raven to bring these sheep to earth he took his wings and waved them over the sheep and they just sprang into life on earth lived in the hill. After he made a lot of them, he began to make fish, birds, and other animals such as a bear, to roam on the earth. I think this culture included this motif in their creation myth because if not then we would not have had anything to eat at the time. With the land full of animals, I think it helped things become more natural out in the wild. I also think that the wildness would not be normal without normal wildlife roaming around the woods. Raven has also seen other men growing in pea pods and he knew they would be hungry when they were hatched. The men that were born, they were happy and not hungry with all the animals that were around due to

One conflict that occurred in the story was when Francisco Pizarro, a Spanish conquistador came with his men to seize control of the Incan Empire. This was a problem because that event marked the end of the Incan’s power. Even though the Spanish conquered the Incan Empire, the Inca’s agriculture still influences people throughout the world. During the post-classical time period, many civilizations became thriving empires, including the Islamic Caliphates and the Incan Empire. Although they peaked at different times, both the Islamic Caliphates and the Incan Empire rose quickly by means of expansion through military conquest, although the Caliphates influence was more of a religious aspect. They also differed in the use and significance of the environment around them, which further affected the way they spread and rose. Expansion was a key prominence for both the Islamic Caliphates and the Incan Empire. After the death of Muhammad, the Caliphates had their minds set on new land; expansion for them became very rapid.…

The museum that I chose to go was to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which was holding an exhibition that was dedicated to Pablo Picasso and Diego Rivera, Picasso and Rivera: Conversations Across Time. The piece that stood out to me the most was Pre-Columbian America by Diego Rivera that features indigenous imagery and creates an alternative view of America. The piece itself was made with oil on canvas with bright colors, which features many scenes that depicts the daily lives of the indigenous people located at the lower half of the artwork – living their daily lives and chores which included preparing food, weaving clothing, building pyramids, farming and making art. In the background with very small detail, Rivera included images of the indigenous people sailing around in boats, gathering in circles and preforming the Danza de los Voladores (Dance of the Flyers) which was a ritual that consisted of dancers climbing of up a huge pole, tie themselves with rope and launch themselves until they reached the ground as a way to ask the gods to end droughts. The crops that were included in the artwork, corn and nopales were done with extraordinary detail, were one could see the details that Rivera included that make them more realistic - the corn was especially important to the indigenous people…

Each culture has its own historical and cultural identity that is forged from different aspects like its creation myths of how the world or the culture began. For the Ancient Egyptians their creation myth is detailed in pyramid texts, for Jews and Christians the creation narrative come from the first book in the Bible, Genesis, but for the Ancient Mayans (living in southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador and Honduras) their creation narrative comes from an ancient text, the Popol Vuh.
