The constellation I have chosen is the Orion Constellation. I have decided on this, because I think it is quite unique. It is one of the most well known constellations, visible in the southern sky during north hemisphere winters. It is best recognised by a belt made out of three stars.
The creation myth of Orion is vague. The hero the constellation that was named after was either an arrogant man who enraged Mother Earth by declaring that he would kill every single animal on the planet who met his fate by a scorpion sting or a lover of the goddess Diana who was killed by the goddess' brother Apollo who was displeased that his sister wished to break her vow of celibacy to be with him.
