Welcome Speech For Primary School

Improved Essays
Let me begin by saying, it is indeed an honour, and a privilege to be have been chosen to be the guest speaker for this special occasion- “The Crane Primary School Annual Prize Giving and Graduation Ceremony”. I will like to thank the Head teacher for officially inviting a son of this school. To the graduates, 26 years ago at Crane Primary School, I was in your position, in a smaller school though. I was a young man that would have been very sad to part ways with my beloved teachers and most of my friends to attend the West Demerara Secondary School.

What are Graduations? Graduations are a time of reflection, celebration and giving thanks. In this regard, firstly, I will like to extent sincere thanks to the almighty, my parents, my late head teacher of Crane Primary School, Mrs Purity Li, all the teachers, students, vendors and cleaners that would have been responsible for creating and shaping the firm educational foundation for which I stand today.

In addition, I want to congratulate the parents/grandparents/guardians of the graduates (Applause), for they are now harvesting the fruit of their hard labour and sacrifices. You have played a very important role in moulding these children from birth to this very moment. You are that guiding light and positive energy that breathes the life blood in the education of your children by moulding their behaviour, characters, abilities and knowledge. Upon my arrival at Commonwealth Honors Academy a mere twelve days ago I was ignorant to the fact that I was going to learn so much in my time spent here, but now I look back and realize that I have gained so much knowledge and I have acquired more details to add to what I knew before arrival. Overall I have learned that most things in life require constant attention and effort to make them truly work and that anyone you come in contact with and create an influence with will then, in turn, make a larger circle of influence that can quickly become bigger than you can ever be. The universal themes that have had the largest impact on me are the themes of Happiness, Friendship, and Sovereignty of Education. It was Aristotle who defined happiness…

I want to take this opportunity to sincerely and formally thank you for all you have done and made possible in helping me progress throughout my time here at SPC. My experience as a member of the Honors College has enhanced my life through the fellowship, better course environments, and the exceptional research conference opportunities and exposure that your leadership has provided. From a student’s standpoint ― especially an “unconventional” student such as myself ― you have given not only fresh and unique opportunities to myself and our membership, but you have given your heart and soul with the purpose of adding an advanced and totally positive learning environment. I know many Honors College alumni privately express this very same message to you ― but your total giving of time, energy, creativity, and true caring should receive far more formal acknowledgement.…

Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. My senior year as a whole (which was just last year) was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life and the happiest I have ever been. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
