I wasn't a fan of some of the props, such as the use of cell phones because they took away from the play itself. I didn't really care for most of the costumes and some of them didn't even look like costumes. One character just wore a t-shirt and jeans yet she was supposed to be a queen. The outfits didn't really help determine who the characters were, and that didn't really help when I was having a hard time trying to understand all that was being said during the play. I feel like my main problem with the play was really my own fault. I planned on reading the script beforehand and looking at the modern translation so that I would be able to understand all that was going on when I went to see the play. I didn't have time to do that before attending so instead I spent the entire time being confused and not actually knowing what was going on. I had to rely on the action in order to somewhat understand the play, but for the most part, I was completely lost. To make matters worse being confused the whole time and only hearing complete gibberish kind of makes it hard for me to even want to pay attention. I honestly found myself getting bored and just wanting to go home and get some sleep.
I was really disappointed that I didn't enjoy the play as much as I hoped. I was really looking forward to seeing this and it made me sad that I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. I was really curious about seeing this …show more content…
I loved that in the beginning of the play they had us walk to a field and see the witches come in from a boat at the edge of a pond. I loved how they interacted with the audience and used us as part of the play. I really liked the motorcycle coming in at the beginning and although it didn't make much sense I found it funny and pretty cool. I love that they moved to different parts of the field for different parts of the play, and made the most of the location that this play was being done at. They didn't have much when it came to a set but they used everything they did have to make the play come to life. The scene back at the wooden cabin stage was great and I loved how they used that for the scenes that needed more of an indoor feel. I liked how they displayed the dead in thrones, or other chairs on the sides of the stage and used all of the areas as their stage. I feel like the location they chose to perform this play was the best they could have chosen. The location really made the play and was probably my favorite
