The events survived by Community C from my perspective are successful. As a member of Community C, I was allowed to participate and assist in all decisions that were made.
The tax system that we chose as a group was the Straight Forward Tax. We felt like this tax system was a quick, simple, and effective way to put money back in the pockets of our middle class families and give our employers incentives to create new jobs; thereby, growing our economy. We did not change our tax system throughout our project.
The budgeted consequences of the ice storm were minimal. We had points in our savings that allowed us to pay the minimum cost for our community.

This project allowed me the opportunity to discover skills that I did not know resided within me. After having undergone this challenge I feel that I am equipped with some of the necessary skills to start my own community projects or even start my own business that would benefit my community. I have acquired the knowledge and experience necessary to start in the right direction towards obtaining funding and support necessary to achieve a successful and legitimate community life project. Although this was not an easy process it took much preparation, research, errors being corrected and brainstorming of ideas. The philosopher, I agree with most is Jean Jacques Rousseau, he believed that people are born free, equal and peaceful. However, he also thought that humans were born with a “blank slate” –without sin, morality, experience, or knowledge. His argument was that living in society is what corrupted humans. We were able to provide added resources, overcome adversity, strengthen existing resources and develop strong integration ideas. I believe in the way our community handled illegal immigration, we made the best decision to help the greatest amount of individuals and still keep our community financially sound.
Conclusion
When I was initially assigned the community life project I was scared and confused. I had no idea where to begin or how I was going to get the project accomplished. As I started the project and researched information for my project the ideas started to flow and my creativity turned on. What I learned most is that having to make decisions for an entire community is much more stressful and important than just having to make decisions for my immediate family.
The most memorable aspect of the community project was the cooperation and willingness that everyone had to do what was right for the community verses what they desired for the community. The project is very realistic there are persons and committees that have to make these tough decisions every day and this project gives real insight into how difficult their jobs truly
