Someone might say, when you protest peacefully, you won't ever get what you want. That is an understandable thing to say, but there is a good reason why that isn't true. When you want something, the first thing you do isn't going to go up to someone and beat them up until they give you what you want. You are going to ask them nicely, and calmly. The problem with peaceful protesting, is that sometimes you can't get your point across. That is normally because your movement isn't big enough or here aren't enough people to support what you have to say. This is normally when people get annoyed and mad that people aren't paying attention to them. So they resort to violence. But as Christians, we know that that is not the right decision to make or the right way to handle things. Some people see peaceful protests like the Martin Luther King Jr. movement and don't see what many others see. While the majority of people look in the great things that happened with the peacefulness with this, they see what didn't happen. “We celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day and learn how to power of peaceful protest was able to defeat segregation and discriminatory regulation within the US. However in reality politics didn’t end up working like that and the reason peaceful protesting worked was because they feared that the protest would turn violent and America would have a race war on its hands.” (calaber24p) While things didn’t work out exactly the way people thought it would, lots of good came from these protests. This quote is saying the only reason it worked was because authorities were worried that the protesters would turn violent when they didn't get what they wanted. The whole theme of the protest that day was to be peaceful, so it doesn't make sense that they would turn violent. Our God is a peaceful God. He would love to see everyone in His world get along and happily worship Him together. This is obviously the way
