A dog’s standard grooming (a bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning) is around $50-60 dollars (enlightenme.com). Whether your dog is small or large, they are all expensive pooches. Many pet owners do not think about the cost before bringing a furry friend into their family. Dogs can be expensive because training can be costly, grooming can be a lot of money, and food and water are pricey as well. First, training can be costly. Some pet training places can be more expensive to train your dog at than others. For example, private classes either at home or at the trainer’s studio cost about $30-100 dollars per hour (costhelper.com). Some places, like animal shelters, offer training classes as well, at $35 dollars per hour (costhelper.com). Dogs can also go to boarding schools schools to get trained. Dog boarding schools cost around $950-$2,500 dollars for two or more weeks (costhelper.com). A dog’s training can be expensive, whether you choose to send them to a boarding school or meet with a private trainer.

All in all, some dog food costs more than others, but it depends on where you buy the food.
In conclusion, dogs can be pricey because training is a lot of money, grooming is expensive, and food and water are costly as as well. Training, grooming, and food/water are costly, but it all depends on your dog’s size and breed. It also depends on your dog’s health and how much training it needs.
