Because I noticed the many elements that contribute into this type of security, I researched an article that mentions the behind-the-scenes information of the Transportation Security Association, listing the major fourteen secrets. They believe that cats are the real terrorists since they scratch and crawl while one is attempting to call them out of their cage, and assume that cheese and meats can resemble a bomb since “all organic products look orange on the display and similar to explosives” (MSN Travel, 2016). An interesting secret is that while passing through the full-body security scanner, a person’s gender can confuse them since “the device operator could expect to see male-only parts” (MSN Travel, 2016). This could pose a problem in the system if the results do not correlate, resulting in a pat-down body search. The United Nations World Tourism Organization states “the commitment of the private sector is key”, helping to diminish the sexual exploitation of traveling children. Other organizations such the World Tourism Network on Child Protection “present awareness-raising materials and capacity building tools, and promote the adoption of professional codes of conduct”. These travel organizations have been closely observing and researching different method to diminish this problem. The unfortunately result of child exploitation are the kidnapping acts that accommodate this problem.
