The Creation Myth is more than the story of Taiowa creating the man and the world it relays the model of creation that each man can see throughout his life, each and every day. The myth shows the importance of creation, “Then he, the infinite conceived the finite” showing that the Creator made a world with, “shape and substance, direction and time, a beginning and an end” (Price 14). The world was created from that of an idea and eventually a plan to break forth and create something proficient to support human life, which included beauty and movement. When Taiowa realized he could not do this without a man and a woman he created to Sotuknang and Spider Woman to influence the world and create life. From this interpretation, it may be elucidated that once the world came from an idea and a plan, that all creations come from a similar beginning; every beginning comes from a beginning, which is modeled off of the cosmogonic myth. The Hopi people may live a life of creating crops, lives, and projects that revolve around the importance of the sacred creation of their lives.
