While Macbeth became king, the king's two sons run away, one vows to build and army to retake the throne while one does not do that. Macbeth decides to consult the witches again and they say “thou shalt be invincible in battle until one fateful day and the next king will not be your own” Macbeth decides to prep his army for an invasion. After seeing some bushes moving and thought “well that's suspicious” and got his army to attack. After an epic battle, macbeth met the true king of scotland and then died. The influences of secondary characters such as Lady Macbeth, the witches, and the apparitions cause Macbeth to commit irreparable harm to King Duncan, Banquo and Macduff in addition to Macbeth’s obsession to stand politically dominant, fear of potential consequences, and his hunger to exceed supernatural limits. Macbeth was already deemed a hero at the beginning of the play as a result of his courageous victory in the war, but his craving for further recognition and glory led to his demise. Lady Macbeth's presence also demonstrated the relationship between cruelty and masculinity. She insulted and berated her husband for originally refusing to carry out horrific deeds and claimed that he was less of a man due to his loyalty and refusal to spill the blood of innocence and brave men. However, we have learned that controlling one's power and greed is much more honorable than betraying an entire kingdom for the benefit of one one's power.…

The three witches planted the seed of corruption, and his position at Thane of Cawdor wasn’t enough. His thirst for power lead to the murders of first Duncan then Banquo, as well as his decline into paranoia and ultimately to his demise. At the start of the play, the comrades he fought with, as well as the king himself acknowledge Macbeth to be very heroic in battle. The sergeant had only positive remarks to say concerning Macbeth.…

Power Corrupts Friedrich Nietzsche once said: “Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you¨. Similar to Macbeth, those who rose to power and who fought ¨monsters¨ in the beginning, ended up becoming one or associated with one in the end which ultimately foreshadows their death. Throughout the tragedy Macbeth multiple characters are corrupted by power. Whether corruption comes from wanting power or already having power, corruption is inevitable either way.
