The movie I watched was called The Core and was directed by Jon Amiel. Some of the main actors in this movie are, Dr. Josh Keyes (Aaron Eckhart), scientists Dr. Serge Leveque (Tchéky Karyo), Dr. Conrad Zimsky (Stanley Tucci), Dr. Ed Brazzelton (Delroy Lindo) and Rebecca (Hilary Swank). The main focus of this movie was to show what it would be like to travel to the core on a life saving mission. In this movie Dr. Josh Keyes notices that the Earth's inner core has stopped rotating. So Dr. Keyes and a few other powerful scientists go traveling deep into the earth to help bring the Earth’s crust back to normal before the atmosphere and world falls apart. Their mission was to donate a device that would start the inner core again to save the Earth

Some examples of the events that were realistic was when there was lava being shown at the inner core when they reached it. I know this is true because the inner core contains lava and molten rock because it is so hot. Another part in this movie that I found realistic was when the Earth's atmosphere started breaking, we saw that people were getting burned because the sun’s rays were coming through and burning everything. This is true because the thing that is saving us from burning because of the sun’s rays is our atmosphere. Some of the most unrealistic parts were when they were in the mantle and they made it into a crystal bubble and I feel like this is unlikely to happen. Another thing that was not believable, was the mission itself. The possibility of the Earth’s inner core stopping is very unlikely to happen. Also the fact that they have suits that are heat resistant is unbelievable because the temperatures down there are so hot that it is possible to melt anything. Lastly the part that included the Golden Gate Bridge was really unbelievable because it melted very quickly and it didn't look very realistic when it happened because it broke into pieces instead of cracking in half and falling into the water.
