The core principals of osteopathic medicine have resonated with me since the first time I read up on the subject. To me the holistic approach of osteopathic medicine makes the most sense because the body is a complex network of systems that continually regulates one another interdependently; that being said I feel it is important to take into account all the factors that cause certain symptoms. It is not beneficial to patients if physicians just treat the symptoms presented, it is my opinion that physicians should look deeper and treat the symptoms from wherever they might originate.
