“Maybe they was figuring that smelly husband of yours would be moving in too, or else they didn’t like crying babies.” For a moment Jeanne could not think of a retort, she was so angry. Instead she paced back and forth, patting her son’s back who had begun to hiccup from crying so hard. After swearing under her breath she stepped around the big man and ducked under the loaded counter. Susan Boxwell was honest to a fault, which is why she currently hated her job. Today, like yesterday, like all the other days since the war had begun a young soldier had died on her operating table. The video of Susan Apold, PhD addressing question about the Nurse Practitioner profession was not just informative, but really makes one think about how unfortunate it is that after over 50 years, and the numerous research data documenting safe patient outcomes and satisfaction, that Dr. Apold had to address some of the questions and comments presented to her. With the increase in the number of states that afford complete autonomy to NPs, there seems to be some professional tension with the expanded role of the NP. The caller Dr. Richard who identified himself as an OBGYN who complained that NPs made a lot of misdiagnosis and were not qualified to adequately treat patients after only 2 years of advanced education. As in all professions, there will always be those who practice at different levels of strengths and weaknesses.…

Scott states that “fierce” means intense, strong, powerful, passionate, eager and robust.…
Susan Wolf, a professor at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, wrote Meaning in Life and Why It Matters to try to figure out why one’s life has meaning. She presents three different views to address the question of whether or not someone exhibits a meaningful life. Wolf presents what is called the fulfillment view, the larger-than-oneself view, and the bipartite view, however each view raises a problem that is sufficient enough to say that it does not answer the question presented before. As a result, she creates her own view on the meaning of life and it is called the fitting fulfillment view. It is a fairly sound argument; however, many people have tried to present an argument against it.…
