Many of the early cellular devices were big, bulky and cumbersome. This wasn’t very helpful to anyone back in the day. Cell phones were first invented to give people an opportunity to speak to people across the world. In this generation, kids and teenagers have cell phones anywhere you go. These expensive devices are now a part of society. Cellular devices are not as bad as they may seem to be because of the easy communication, research, safety and a provided learning experience.
Cell phones help to stay in touch. Especially with family in every part of the world. They could be used for educational purposes. For example teachers can use cell phones to text assignments or reminders to get a more efficient response from his or her students. Peter Brosnan claims, “Both parents and teachers will need to stay in touch with their children and students, so cell phones will make this communication simple.” Parents tend to call or text their child throughout the day whether it’s okay with the school or not. It could be for several reason as to a health problem and or just plain boredom. Either way the parent or guardian should be aware at all times of any situation. This now leads into my next topic.
