Although Wikipedia can offer a vast amount of information on different subjects, I don't think that students should be allowed to use it as a source in research papers. I feel this way because Wikipedia's information may not be able to be relied on as credible because its writers don't have to be specialists or have any type of expertise in the subject areas that they write about or contribute information on. Also, the information doesn't always have to be found to be accurate and true before it is added. Wikipedia itself states that not all of its information is "accurate, comprehensive, or unbiased" (Researching with Wikipedia).
