Students should not be required to take standardized tests because they are stressful which is a proven fact. Also there is too much accountability towards the students.
The states should not require students to take standardized tests because they are too stressful. During the week of the testing the students have trouble getting to sleep. However the students teachers and parents push them to pass and to try there hardest. In my past experiences I have failed two standardized tests. Which made me get determined to pass the test which every student should do.
It is not fair for some standardized tests to determine your high school career. The states have too much accountability on the students. It is the student's option to pass or fail.

If these tests are only testing one part of the education system then why are they being used to see the progress of a student?     Standardized tests test the students of their capability of understanding what was taught in the past year, but only giving them one strict way to show it.
