The Controversy Of Pineapples Cannot Belong On Pizza

Improved Essays
The topic of pineapple pizza, and whether it belongs on pizza, has been the topic of centuries. One third of all americans believe that pineapples belong on pizza, and almost one third of Americans are illiterate or undereducated. Coincidence? I think not. Although people say that pineapples belong on pizza because it’s healthy, there is a balance of flavours, and because people enjoy it, these people are wrong. Pineapples don’t belong on pizza. Although some people may say that pineapples belong on pizza because they are healthy, this is not true because some things, like grass, are healthy but do not belong on pizza. Other things that we need in our lives, like water, and fried eggs, do not belong on pizza. Some people think that putting …show more content…
Cheese is savoury and so are tomatoes. Some sweet foods that you put on pizza are leafy greens, like lettuce and kale. Pineapples in general have many bad things about them, but the worst is the pineapple strings. While enjoying your gorgeous pizza, you may get horrible strings and that could ruin the whole experience for you. Getting pineapples unripe could make your pizza too bitter, or getting them too ripe could make your pizza too sweet. You can get your savouriness from other things, like the sauce or the spread on top. Pizza does not need to be savoury and sweet at the same time.
Some people believe that pineapples belong on pizza because people enjoy it. Though people may enjoy it, some things are just not okay. In example, I could enjoy ripping the happiness from kids and stealing their candy, but that is not okay. I could enjoy robbing banks and murdering, but that is not okay. Just because I simply enjoy something, doesn’t mean that it’s socially acceptable.
Pineapples on pizza are a thing of the past. New times lead to thinking more critically and to putting childish ideas behind us. Pizza is an amazing food, the best even, but nobody should have to deal with having pineapples on pizza. I am known for eating anything, and even I wouldn’t eat pineapples on pizza. Pineapples do not belong on pizza because pizza is healthy without them, sweet and savoury do not always have to mix, and because some things

We as human beings live together in large groups who follow certain rules and regulations, both written and simply unspoken but known. Most of these rules we just accept for what they are and do not really pay much attention to them. We go along with what “the norm” is for life because it is easier to live that way rather than challenging how things work. However, if we take the time to sit and really think about what is socially acceptable and what is not, some may begin to question the fairness and legitimacy of these rules. How we interact with other groups of people is a great example of what is sometimes socially acceptable but morally wrong.…

As I walked through the aisles of the store I heard a voice behind me saying that trying to eat healthy is like a luxury, you know like getting your hair done. You do not need it, but you want it.
