The Controversy Of Censoring The Internet

Now most people believe to think that censoring the internet can allow children to access websites without fear of getting their child’s mind corrupted; which is true. Allowing censoring can prevent inappropriate topics reaching the minds of kids 17 and below. But censoring the internet can cause some meanings to be lost, or emotions that can’t be describe by some G-rated sentences, and if information can be censored; any outlet of information (For example; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vicon and etc.) can be altered and the meaning can be changed from one thing to another, which can cause problems between big time companies which will result in the loss of jobs, money, growth and every other factor that makes a company grows. It’s true that censoring can allow any age to use platforms freely without repercussions of negativity that floats around the public domain (A.K.A the Internet). But there are huge factors that can be changed, altered, manipulated and discreet from the public view, because if we give the government control of what we can say then they can deem anything as inappropriate and censor it forms the public view. …show more content…
In 2017 they tried to censor the mass killing that was happening in Burma, millions of lives were hurt and thousands of reported dead or close to death. And because of censoring the internet that violates our right as a citizen to get information, because they said it was disturbing and none of our business.
