Nowadays, cell phones are all smart phones. Meaning that cell phones are not only meant for calling or texting, but they have access to the internet and many apps. Students bringing such devices to school can lead to problems and distractions. Schools should have the right to ban cell phone use during the school day because it causes many distractions that interfere with learning. School should be a place where students focus solely on learning. Allowing students to have cell phones during school hours would only be a distraction to them during class.
