Animal Testing Paper

After decades of animal testing, most cosmetic companies have ruled out the ingredients that don 't benefit their products. With this knowledge, they are able to produce cosmetics with ingredients that are known to be safe for use. Animal testing should not be justified by our enjoyment of cosmetics. The torture and premature death that animals have to endure is inhuman because they have no choice, but cosmetic companies do have the option to take another route to test cosmetics. Other options include paying human volunteers to test the makeup, using the new computer programs that mimics human biology, and using human tissues and cells also known as Vitro Testing. All other factors aside, the root of the problem is the pain that animals must suffer for unjustified cause. Animals are forced to endure cruelty and death because companies refuse to change their routine experiments. “Animal testing, or vivisection, cannot be done without causing pain and suffering to—and in most cases, killing—innocent animals who didn’t choose to donate their bodies to science.”(G,Donald) It seems like people have turned a blind eye when it comes to torturing animals. We have proven our love for animals with almost every household in the U.S. caring for a pet; cats, dogs. There would be an uproar if these loved pets were taken away and experimented on which most likely would end in death. Even if other animals don 't live in our home that doesn 't mean they deserve the misery they must endure for years. There are other options than to experiment on animals, options that will not only benefit animals but also the cosmetic market. People could confidently purchase makeup knowing that an animal didn 't have to give up their life to put on the shelves of stores. There will also be more sales in makeup when vegans and vegetarians realize that a brand has become cruelty free. There is a community that avoid the purchase of or the support of companies and products because they test on animals, thus bringing down

Many statistics of animal experimentation show how consistently inaccurate results are reported. If scientists, doctors, or businesses need to test a new product it can be done one of the alternative ways that do not affect any animals lives and we can rely on. Even “Europe, the world’s largest cosmetic market, Israel and India have already banned animal testing for cosmetics, and the sale or import of newly animal-tested beauty products” (“Facts About Animal Testing”). If scientist keep testing on animals and do not branch out to other experiments they will become too content with animal testing and it will be around even longer than it needs to be. If we are testing on animals because they are unlike us then why are we testing them for unreliable results?…

The main reason why we animal test is for cosmetic research, not medical research, which is the only type that can be half accepted. Medical research for humans on animals means they still do not get the correct results we need because of the two different reactions of chemicals in two different animals. Popular brands hide the way they animal test because they know that when people find out their product will not sell as well. Global warming is also a huge and rising problem on our earth, and by cutting out cosmetic research on animals, it will mean a few hundred less factories running around the world and releasing fumes into the atmosphere. This will mean a lot of jobs lost, but there are plenty more jobs in the world and it will only benefit our world.…

Animal Testing Argument Essay When women put on their makeup, they often do not realize that in most cases, the assurance of that product’s safety comes at the price of an animal’s life. Many big beauty or medical brands test on living animals to determined whether or not the products are considered to be safe for human use. Many people think it is necessary to test these potentially harmful substances on animals in order to assure product safety. However, recent research has shown that there are more cost effective and reliable alternative methods from pro-animal testing businesses to use to better ensure safety of both animals and humans. Many organizations, like PETA for example, have been working to educate society and put a stop to…

1.5 million Americans were hospitalized in 1978 alone as a consequence of pharmaceutical drugs administered to "cure" them” (Thomas). The main point is that the experiments are non-affective for medical results and the animals are paying the price for our mistakes. Instead of wasting lives, we should be testing volunteer human subjects for human cures, not animal cures. Animals are fully awake and go through large amounts of pain while scientists are vivisecting them. The test animals are tortured and experimented on when they have not been sedated which is heartless and cruel sedated or not.…

As how people think, animal testing is the best way to find information, animal testing should be banned and here is why. While animals are getting tested to find research for humans the animals are being harmed by the chemicals the scientists are using and the animals are getting hurt even if the research or treatment the scientists come out with does not necessarily approve with a human body. PETA states, " The Food administration reports that 92 out of every 100 drugs that pass on animal tests fail in humans." (PETA). This shows that getting research from animals for humans is not always approved by the human body, even if scientists say that animals have the same traits as humans.…

Some people believe that Animal experimentation has played a huge role in enabling people to discover, prevent and cure diseases. Many diseases were found and there were numerous advantageous results from the experiments. However, there is a problem with this reasoning because the drugs or medicine that are invented by animal experimentation can respond differently in humans. According to the statistics, 92 percent of all drugs that were guaranteed safe to be used for humans and that were effective in animals, failed in human bodies because they were dangerous and did not really work. ( Food and Drug Administration) Penicillin is a antibiotic agent which is commonly used in the treatment of bacterial infection.…

Many cosmetic factories use non-human entities as testing subjects for their products. Places such as Britain and France have made it illegal to use animals as testing subjects. Animal testing is an extremely divided subject with both ends having strong views. Many people see humans as superior to animals, so individuals conclude that it is acceptable to perform tests on animals. On the contrary, people see animal testing as cruel and inhumane because the animals are forcefully tested on with no form of consent.…
