All tunes played were anthems of peace. We assigned three pieces, but one melody encountered a rather different response. After playing John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, we questioned our subjects about their feelings of this song. Our participants, believed the most powerful statement in the tune was when Lennon stated, “Imagine there's no countries. men hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for. And no religion too. Imagine all the people. Living life in peace...”, (A-Z Lyrics). When asked about this statement by Lennon, our subjects believed it hinted the question of ‘Why should we have war?’. With this in mind, we had a decrease of 38% in the group of war is needed, after asking if war is necessary. This result made a first survey total of 12% of the subject’s believe that war is needed, while 88% had beliefs about war is unneeded. With this dramatic change in percent, we believe NCBA should use music to help persuade
