The Control Room-Personal Narrative

I scurry across the long and dreadful hallway asking myself, why did I bring Jackson into this? This is all my fault. I must save him. The door to the control room is so close I can taste it. I am sprinting now. I must make it to this control room. I must free Jackson. I could feel my heart pounding straight out of my chest as I make my way closer and closer to the door. But then, I realize I’m not getting any closer to the door. Every foot closer I get, it moves a foot further. I stop, and so does the door. I am so close why is this happening now, I think to myself, my face steaming. I know that if I can just get something into that room, than all my problems will be solved. Then, I remember I still have a Snickers in my pocket, left from …show more content…
None the less, I pop the candy into my mouth. I know I shouldn’t be thinking about this right now, but I can’t help but marvel at the mouthwatering taste of a Snickers, even when it's melted. “Alright, break time’s over,” I say to myself. I remove the wrapper from my pocket and flatten it to the best of my abilities. “I hope my years of playing finger football pay off,” I say …show more content…
“Aye dios mio,” I say, still catching my breath from sprinting. “I only have one choice, to figure this out.” I sit down in the swirly chair, and tap purple fingernails against the marble countertops. Looking at my nails, I remember the smiles on Jackson and Hajimu face when they saw me painting my nails.
“What, I thought I would be seasonal,” I had said.
“Purple has nothing to do with Halloween,” Jackson said trying to contain his laughter. Thinking of this only makes me more motivated to free Jackson.
Before I begin to decipher this crazy control room, I notice words typed on the computer screen.
“Pledegease Hedegelp Medegi,” it says, I vaguely recognize this sentence. After some thinking, I remember a few days ago, Jackson was trying to teach me some language called pig latin. When Mrs. G called him over that is what exactly he said. Pledegease Hedegelp Mededi, this sentence kept repeating in my head. What could it mean?
I thought, What would Jackson say if Mrs. G asked to talk to him. And then it hit me, please help me. I typed those letters into the large contraption, and sure enough the box appeared right in front of me. The only things left to do were to destroy the box, and get out of this House of
