In The World You Will Have Tribulation Analysis

Great Essays
Jesus said to his disciples in John 16:33 that "In the world you will have tribulation." They were being prepared for the time when Jesus would be crucified and after his resurrection would ascend into heaven. They would not have his physical presence with them after that time. They were going to be hated, mocked, and dragged into court. They were in for a tough ride. If you did not already know it, let me give you the bad news: This world is full of wickedness and the innocent are constantly being abused. The disciples were going to face a specific kind of tribulation, but we face tribulations and hardships as well. We have not only face physical attacks, people committing all kinds of horrendous acts of violence like rape and murder, but …show more content…
We are new in Jesus, born again to live holy and righteous lives. Those who are overcomers are the ones born of God. The ones who have had their very nature changed. We were once like the world and not only lived in the world, but lived like the world. We were ungodly and evil, but Christ changed us. That is what it means to be born of God, we are different. We love as God loves and see things the way he sees things. Those who have victory over the world do so because of what Jesus has done. You and I by ourselves could never defeat this world, could never overcome this world. But Paul says "... we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:37 ESV). You want victory over this dark world, you want victory over sin and death? You want victory over your own sin? John says, faith is the victory. We are men and women of faith and that faith is our victory. That faith is not faith in "faith", but faith always has an object and Jesus is that object. What does it mean to have faith in Jesus? We trust that Jesus was who he said he was, trust that Jesus died and rose on the third day to pay for our sins, and trust that he will return and change everything, usher in the new heavens and earth. We trust that he overcame the powers of darkness, he defeated sin, Satan, and

Chapter 11 of The Upside-Down Kingdom by Donald B. Kreybill discusses the difference between the social ladder of the kingdom on Earth, and the kingdom of Heaven. The social ladder on Earth begins with the most powerful and makes its way down to the least powerful. Jesus, however, flips this idea by claiming that “lo¬w is high”. Jesus’ views of power, status, and inequality opposed societies cultural expectations. Jesus rejected denomination and hierarchy in social governance.…

As the Scriptures prove, we are only men. We may think within ourselves that we have all the faith in the world and that nothing or no one can shake our resolve. But just like Peter, sometimes we don’t truly know how strong we are until we are forced to undergo a trial by fire. No matter how good and upright we may think we are, we need to be nourished by God’s word. Without the influence of God’s divine righteousness, our fallible mortal spiritual compasses are not nearly sufficient enough to keep us on course.…

The bible says that Jesus was led into the wilderness by the spirit (Matthew 4:1). This scripture states that Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted. One of the things Jesus was tempted with during his time in the wilderness was to throw himself down from a pinnacle (Luke 4:9). Satan was tempting Jesus to jump and let the angels save him. The struggles that we deal with from day to day may seem like it they are never going to change and the only way out is for us to end our life.…

However, the Word of God comes to our aid by sharing the promises of God. By believing in Him you can be forgiven of all your sins, because Jesus loved you so much, that He suffered and died for you. This is the ending benefit of faith, which is salvation through God’s grace. As Luther explained, “true faith in Christ is a treasure beyond comparison which brings with it complete salvation and saves man from every evil.”…

After reading The 1965 PROPHECY I have noticed a lot of key points within the prophecy given by Stanley Frodsham that pertains to the current condition of the local church of today and I would like to explain both the causes that brought deception into the church and the cure to help open the eyes of the body of Christ to see the truth once again. There 's, so many types of deception in the church today, just to name a few would be the love of money, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Most believers are serving and following Jesus, all for the wrong reasons, many only want Him for power, material blessings and being noticed in packed worldwide ministries or crusades on TV, online and other ways of media. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase” (Dorinson). The definition of faith upholds two meanings. One being faith is complete trust or confidence in someone or something and the other being a strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion. In the case of war, both defintions of faith are combined as one meaning in the eyes of a soldier. Soldiers have faith in many things such as family, God, self, fellow soldiers, and the outcome of war.…
