Personal Narrative: Crash Bandicoot

I do not play any video games what so ever now, unless they are silly puzzle games on my phone. My Fiancé, on the other hand will play video games all of the time. I guess I reached a point in my life where I am much too tired and focused on other things. Now thinking back to when I was much younger, I do remember playing video games constantly, and I even remember that I’d lock myself in my room for hours playing Crash Bandicoot: Warped. That video game took up a lot of my time on rainy days, or days that my dad actually let me sit there and play. It is the perfect video game for any age, filled with fun worlds to explore and challenges around every corner. It literally takes you through time and space, and it is your job to collect crystals before the villains of the story do. I played the other Crash Bandicoot games but this ones surpasses them all. This game actually went on to be the ninth best-selling PlayStation game. To me, there was much more substance to this one versus the other two Crash Bandicoot games. There is something called the “hub” area of a game. This is where you are able to sit around and explore, relax, and decide where you will be going next. The “hub” of this game takes place in a time machine room. There are portals all around you that take you to different realms and times. My favorite realms are the ones with snow in them. They were a bit more challenging at times because there are spots of icy ground, which causes you to slip and slide. If you don’t jump at the right time, you will slide right off the edge of the mountain.
