Racial Profiling can be prevalent in the law enforcement but it is far less prevalent than the activists would have us believe. Racial and ethnic minority perceptions that the police lack lawfulness and legitimacy, based largely on their interactions with the police, can lead to the distrust of the police. Distrust of the police has serious consequences. It undermines the legitimacy police lose their ability and authority to function effectively. Addressing and discipline minor offenses so officers can learn that major offenses will be disciplined too. Rotating the officers assignments can help discourage the formation of bonds that lead officers to cover up the misconduct of others. Many departments are improving integrity and raising the standards for officers. Racial Profiling is a sick thing to do. People shouldn’t be able to judge others on their skin color or how they look. They can’t even change that. Police are just being violent and unjust to those of color and it’s not fair. Everyone is equal and should be treated that way. It doesn’t matter how you look, you have to be equal to
