The Scripture strongly resists the urge of lust as in Hebrews 13:4 says, “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous”. Physical attraction is beautiful for it marks a change in a relationship and connects two bodies with the same souls together. However, it is only honored and meaningful within the bond of marriage. Unintended pregnancy can result in abortion, in which a guilty mother puts her innocent baby into a position between life and death while sexually transmitted diseases and psychological emotion can detrimentally affect the rest of a person’s life. Lust is powerful, “but each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown, brings forth death” (James 1:14-15). Overly intimacy fuels lust, which is powerful but tangible; therefore, lust is not worth the risk that push an individual to suffer and live in sin and guilt …show more content…

The relationship is not an immediate chemistry; relationship is a work in progress that needs patience and effort from both sides to ignite the lasting love. II Timothy 2:22 says, “Run from anything that gives you the evil thoughts that young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Have faith and love, and enjoy the companionship of those who love the Lord and have pure hearts.” Love for soul attraction is more long lasting than love for physical attraction for beautiful face can fade over times but the beautiful heart and soul remains intact if one grows it with care. In other words, the widely differing views on the ways the Old and New Testaments are accepted, interpreted, and and applied were repeatedly cited to us by lay people, clergy, and theologians as the most prevalent cause of conflict in our denomination today……

Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death” (Gateway 2008). This verse is explaining that if you give into your desires it will give birth to sin. This means that sin can grow and become worse than before, so do not fall victim to that sinful desire like a fool would.…

In the last century, sexual, gender, and relational practices and norms have changed tremendously. With the sexual and gender revolution, people are no longer bound to lasting relationships with one another in order to have sex. Many teens and young adults believe that “they should explore different relationships [and] it may be foolish and wrong not to” (Regnerus 2011: 110).…
