Most heroes that I know never regret the ethical and positive decisions that they make, because the outcome is usually in favor for them. In this case Creon’s outcome is complete and utter aloneness. In lines 1340-1346, Creon remorsefully states that; “ I have murdered you, son, unwittingly, and you, too, my wife – the misery! I do not know which way I should look, or where I should seek support. Antigone was one of the amazing few who I believe was born with the courageousness that she had proudly showed in this tragedy. Without Antigone’s bravery Polyneices would of just been left for dead without a proper burial, If I had to lay my head down at night knowing I let someone who loved and trusted me down like that I would go insane with regret. Most people when faced with pain or grief crumble under pressure, those who have the strength to get through it and charge on is where the courageousness truly shows. Antigone showed an amazing example of the benefits versus the consequences that arise from making ethical or unethical decisions. Even though Antigone was fully aware of what would take place giving Polyneices a burial she did so knowing the benefit of doing so would significantly out weight the sad consequence that followed. It takes confidence and courage to do such a thing, and Antigone was perfectly made to do such an act and she did so with her head held higher than most do on a normal
