Advantages Of Keeping A Scholarship Essay

It’s easy to get caught up in the thought process that it’s more important to keep a scholarship than to learn the information, it’s easy to find yourself cheating through life. Throughout college it’s always about keeping your scholarship instead of actually learning material. We forget on a day to day basis the reason we are here and what an opportunity it is to be here. Instead of being grateful for having the chance to get an education, we complain about the work load. We forget we’re here to better our lives and to gain skills. In a setting that values a piece of paper more than your actual knowledge it’s easy to get distracted from the end goal. Through my journeys in life I realized that I got caught up in the college mindset of just getting it done. I needed to get the A so I could afford to keep going to college. Cheating isn’t something that I enjoy doing, it’s something that I regret because it takes away from my learning. At the time, I felt like I had no more options. I came down sick with mono for 3 months to the point I couldn’t even get up to eat for days because I couldn’t get the energy to get out of bed. I learned that sometimes the best option is to drop a class and look at your other options. Although at the time this may seem like a bad idea, sometimes you need to learn that not everything is possible to get done. I was too determined that I had the ability to get this work done than I was realistic about the work load. This resulted in me being worried about my grades to the point of cheating. I realized that cheating is not worth risking my education for. It is better to just take the bad grade and accept it rather than try to use someone else’s
