Texting While Driving Persuasive Speech

One night a young teenage girl drove all throughout the night to get things off her chest. She never saw her family and stayed in her room 24/7. She felt alone, especially after receiving a hateful text that would make anyone want to fringe. After gaining the courage to text back, she ran a red light from not paying attention and was killed instantly along with the other victim in the other car. Moral of the story is that people often fight battles that others are unaware of, which a lot are caused by the distraction of owning a cell phone. Cell phones should be for emergency phone calls only to prevent cases like these from happening again.
Often parents decide to get their children a cellular device for their tenth through thirteenth birthday.

People seem to think that one little message could not wait one more second until the car is stopped. Cell phones consume many people’s attention which is very bad in cases where one takes their eyes off the road for two seconds and either wake up in the hospital or not at all. No matter what is going on in one’s life, should never affect others because of one simple text. According to textingandrivingsafety.com, texting while driving makes an accident up to twenty-three times more likely to happen. Also, the main people that are affected tremendously are the people who have done no wrong whatsoever, the people in the other vehicle involved. Many lives are changed after instances like accidents from texting and driving. Under no circumstances, it can wait, even if it is just two more minutes to pull over on the side of the road.
Suppose cell phones did not exist. Fewer wrecks might occur and more equality and love might be shown to others. Because of cell phones, people are not able to be who they are because of today’s society; people hide behind a screen to try to protect themselves when in reality, all it is doing is causing more harm. People are careless to how they act and what the consequences are.
