Should Death Penalty Be Abolished

In the United States Capital Punishment is the sentencing of a convict that has committed a serious crime such as murder. Capital Punishment is also known as the death penalty. Once a judge sentences a convict to death penalty the process begins. The inmate now waits his or her turn on death row. An executioner is assigned to carry out the death process with lethal injection. In the past executioners used the electrocution also known as the electric chair before switching to lethal injections. When the day of execution comes official officers have the inmate take off all of his or her clothes and the inmate is strapped to a bed. It takes three executioners to kill one inmate. Even though the death penalty involves has many errors, there are people who believe that the death penalty is necessary. Those who agree with the death penalty believe that putting a criminal who committed a capital crime brings justice to the case. The United States should abolish capital punishment, because it violates human rights, it is highly expensive, and it has systematic problems. Criminals don’t deserve a punishment that effects everyone around them. They deserve to sit in prison for life. They shouldn’t be put to death that’s an easy way out. The death penalty should be abolished in the United States because it violates human rights, it is highly expensive, and it has systematic problems. Those who approve the death penalty believe that it brings justice to the victims’ families and they see it as an “eye for an eye” revenge.
