Revolution In American History: The First Industrial Revolution

During the industrial revolution it allowed our society to jump from one era right into the next, with the help of the inventions that were made. It all started in the 1760’s to the early 1800’s, when the first industrial revolution took place. This was a point in time when America introduced the wonders of machinery. It focused on the growth of factories, and the mass production of manufactured goods. With all the new factories, it was a big opportunity for the community to open up jobs for everyone since it did not take a lot of education so anyone was able to do it. At first people thought it was great and that they were getting jobs and would be able to support their family, but little did they know that soon enough working in this factory was worse than having no job, but people had no choice to work unless they wanted to starve. Although the industrial revolution was a big point in american history, The first industrial revolution was not revolutionary because it negatively affected the social classes and the environment.

It was not revolutionary in any way, it only harmed and caused bigger problems to the citizens. It separated the social classes, making the working class unequal to the upper classes that do not work, although the middle class were the majority of the population and provided goods for their community. This era split apart families and forced them to live on the street.
