The study aimed to explore the understanding about if there are specific personality traits can be predicted through Facebook users and nonusers. Also, to investigate whether individuals’ personality can changed according to the way they utilized Facebook. There are 46 males and 153 females, aged between 17 to 24 years old and own a personal profile on an SNS. Participants are directed to complete 4 different types of measurements, which is the NEO Five-Factor Inventory (FFI), Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (SEI), Addictive tendencies scale, and also the time spent on SNSs. The NEO-FFI consisted 5 categories, including Openness, Conscientiousness, Extroversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. Each category given 5 level scales of agreement, from strongly disagree to strongly agree. The results were analysed through multiple regression, it shows that the category of conscientiousness and extroversion are the significant predictors.
