Chapman (2014) expressed that when we engage in confession, we “have done the greatest thing you can do for your mate” (p. 27). I believe that when we confess our sins, we are in a humble state where God can work on our behalf. In my experience, it is only when we remain stubborn and full of pride that our efforts grind to a halt.
