Since the early ages of the nineteen nineties American consumers with a distinctive than norm consumer mentality have known, to keep up with the joneses, as it is known in the country of the United States. Do to the consumers wanting and buying items that others have: because for the consumer they feel they need to buy something or have a specific item for them to get a sense of satisfaction and happiness. Without their materialistic item the consumer wouldn’t know how to react. The consumer does not realize where or how a specific item was made. In reality it takes a lot of environmental resources to actually make an item and keep up with production, so that America can meet the consumer needs.

Its quite interesting to know that american consumers with consumer mentality, have twice as much things than what they really need. Who know there if there are people who even are lucky to have somethings. in some parts of the states there are people who are starving. On average do to the consumer mentality american still mananges to use about twenty-four percent of the worlds energy. To think aboit is that for every product that the consumer consumes, they also buy that energy that was used to make the final product. Water is another thing that consumer need but also is harmful, because when being recovered from underground by the ocean there is a highly chance for a oil spill. Not only that it cuase water pollution.
