This month I read the book The Compound by S.A Bodeen. This book was well written and fast paced, I like the suspense and the voice. I, however, thought that some of the plot points were a little predictable and at some points even drawn out. Overall I would rate this book an 8/10. In this book Eli and his family are forced into an underground bunker after a nuclear bomb leaves them shell-shocked and heartbroken. Eli just wants to get to the end of his 15-year stay in the compound. As life gets more and more difficult in the compound Eli is forced to question those he needs most. The other piece I’m using is GemX by Nicky Singer, since they both carry an important message about dependency. Both The Compound and GemX show the theme the ones

This book is a stellar read up that encompasses dozens of diverse scenarios and connects them into one flowing masterpiece. The book has no set long term characters apart from the authors who narrate the book but you feel in tune with each person brought up in the different circumstances. There is also no permanent setting but each story told from a different part of the world in various perspectives that come together to relay a common message. That’s incredibly important, given how a lot of non-romance readers tend to discredit the growth of female characters because they think romance comprise the character’s other qualities. I can manage to separate their journey to their significant others and I hope everyone could as well. I’m just all heart eyes for this book.…

I chose this text from the book Angels and Demons by the well-known author Dan Brown. The story mainly takes place in Rome and I believe it depicts a battle between two very influential components in society: science and religion. Dan Brown shows us a contrast between the beliefs of science and religion and the tension that’s created when they're combined. As the book progresses the main problem Brown is trying to address is the question a lot of characters in the book are trying to answer, can science and religion exist together?…
