If you do the math, factor in the leap years, that comes down to about one sexual assault of a woman anywhere from the age 12 and up every 107 seconds. What if some of these sexual assaults ended in pregnancies? About 5.0% of them do, although it may not seem like much, it 's important. By no means should abortion be promoted as a product in the supermarket, however that does not mean the option should be taken away from women who suffer from sexual assaults which are unfortunately often committed domestically or by someone they know. Complications of pregnancy are health problems that occur during pregnancy and can involve the mother 's health, the baby 's health, or both. There are a few complications such as the child being born with HIV/AIDs due to the mother being a carrier or the child having mental or nervous system issues due to the mother doing drugs or drinking while pregnant all of which can cause the child to die as an infant.
