Base on the Communication Style Inventory, my leadership style is strategic. I used to work to RadioShack for five years. I started as a sale associate for three years then I was promoted to Assistant Manager. My duty is to run the store when my manager isn’t around make sure my co workers are doing their job and train new employee. Working in retail there are new employees come and go almost all the time. I remember back in early 2012 I had to train this new employee his name Jeff. My manager interview him and told me he’s a good guy and he’s willing to learn but I have to be patient with him because he’s a slow learner. I became more conventional. I stopped making training as exercise and a fun environment and motivate him such as “ oh I believe in you, you can do this job, it’s piece of cake”. It’s become part of a job and I gave me a time of a week to make his first sale in phones or I would have to let him go. Apparently, that style is actually work because he made first sale two days later. He came more engaging and friendly. Looking back I believe I could have done differently than just motivate him and believe in him. I could have been more serious because I was being to friendly and that’s probably why he didn’t take me serious or listen to me. He’s an investor and a CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He leads over 300,000 employees with a freedom and incentivizes them like owners. I admire him not only he’s a successful businessman, billionaire but he’s also a philanthropist. To me Warren Buffet is a strategic leader because I was watching one of his interviews on T.V once he has said that his favorite holding period for an investment is forever. Due to his saying, this is why he has been staying with Berkshire Hathaway for a long time he doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon. He has plans and vision to extend his company by purchasing the Burlington Santa Fe trail road because he believes that railroad is an important transportation in America and it wont go away for at least 50-100 years from today. He has spoke about numbers of economic crisis in 2013 because many American companies are leaving America for cheaper labor in Southeast Asia. His famous article in the New York Times “ Buy America. I am” insisted that American company should use the opportunity to take of America economic during the
